Collecting

Last updated 8 days ago

PoWPoW lets anyone convert electricity into onchain value. Permissionlessly, directly from your browser, earning you $BITZ on Eclipse.

There are no middlemen, no installs, and no special hardware required. If you’ve got a browser and an Eclipse wallet, you’re ready to collect.

Why Collect?

Every collector contributes real computational work that gets verified onchain. This isn’t some simulated points system it’s actual proof-of-work adapted for the browser. Your device does work, submits it onchain, and in return you earn $BITZ, a real token on Eclipse.

Whether you’re new to Web3 or a builder exploring Eclipse, collecting is a low-barrier way to start earning and interacting with the chain.

How it works

  • Your browser runs a lightweight proof-of-work algorithm using your CPU.

  • The output, a mathematical proof, is submitted to a smart contract on Eclipse.

  • The contract verifies the proof and rewards your wallet with $BITZ.

No downloads. No GPU required. No gatekeeping.

Get started

  1. Connect your Eclipse wallet (we recommend using ) from the top-right corner of the app.

  2. Head over to the ‘COLLECT’ tab and hit Start.

  3. Pay a small one-time fee to register your collector.

  4. That’s it. Your collector will begin submitting proofs and earning $BITZ in real time.

FAQ

Do I have to pay gas fees

Yes, every time you collect or stake, you're interacting with an onchain smart contract. A small amount of gas is required for each action.

How heavy is it on power?

Collecting runs entirely in-browser using your CPU. It’s designed to be lightweight, but longer sessions may cause noticeable fan activity or increased battery drain.

Can I collect with my GPU?

Not yet. Currently, collecting is fully CPU-based and runs directly in-browser. No downloads or installs needed.

What hash function does it use?

powpow runs a custom proof-of-work algorithm optimized for in-browser CPU execution. All work is verified fully onchain.
